Presentation of ITSM4Outlook Interface

ITSM4Outlook is installed as an extension of Outlook and acts as a bridge to BMC Remedy. It provides users with new menus, options and panels. Once ITSM4Outlook is installed, a new tab, called ITSM, will be available in the ribbon of Outlook. From this menu you have access to different options.

1. The New Incident button allows you to create an incident from an email, and to categorize and assign the request through the create incident panel.
2. Activating the Service Today button will display the ITSM Service Today Panel. This panel shows your workload and enables you to perform the main ITSM tasks in order to manage your tickets.
3. The search field allows you to quickly search ITSM records.
4. The work log section gives you direct access to all the available information related to the incident. For example, you can have a look to the source email that is automatically added when creating an incident.

In addition, new options are available in the contextual menu that appears when you right-click on an email. For instance, you can create a new incident, open the incident related to this email, or attach information to the work log.

All the different interfaces and menus of ITSM4Outlook have been specially design from a user-centric perspective in order to be as intuitive and easy-to-learn as possible.
